-
- Errorlevels
- -----------
-
- For each event ATTRIB returns an appropriate exit code which can be used
- in "if errorlevel" statements in batch files:
-
- 0 completion successful;
- /? option used.
- 1 error to change attribute(s) of file(s).
- 2 no matching file(s) found for target(s).
- 3 error open file(s), pointed in /@ option(s).
- 4 error(s) in command line.
-
- Higher errorlevels should absorb lower errorlevels (for example, if there
- are errors to change attributes and no matching targets for other
- argument, then 2 will be returned). Example of using errorlevels:
-
- attrib -r *.dat>nul
- if errorlevel 1 if not errorlevel 2 goto noaccess
-
-
- Compiling
- ---------
-
- ATTRIB source tested with Borland C++ 3.1. To compile ATTRIB run cc.bat
- batch file. To compile or delete temporary files, the MAKE utility also
- can be used (see makefile).
-
-
- Known problems
- --------------
